O8 Software Launches O8 Self Serve for User-Led Reporting, Dashboards and Data Extracts
  • O8 Self Serve is a new plug-in tool for data extracts, reports, dashboards and scheduled delivery.
  • Users can build through an interactive workbench or dictate requirements in plain language using AI-assisted instructions.
  • The tool supports multilingual and multicurrency reporting and can run inside the O8 enterprise landscape or as a standalone add-on to any suitable database.

O8 Software has launched O8 Self Serve, a new plug-in reporting and data workbench that helps business users create governed data extracts, reports, dashboards and scheduled deliveries without waiting for every requirement to enter a technical reporting queue.

The tool has been designed by users for users. O8 Self Serve gives planners, managers, finance teams and operational teams an interactive workbench where they can select data, build joins, add calculated fields, shape reports, create dashboards and schedule recurring delivery. For users who want a faster starting point, requirements can also be dictated in plain language and interpreted against the available reporting metadata.

O8 Self Serve supports multilingual and multicurrency reporting, making it suitable for international teams that need consistent information across sites, regions, languages and financial views. Users can work with localised report labels and currency values while still drawing from governed enterprise data.

Within the O8 landscape, O8 Self Serve integrates with the O8 enterprise product by using the same operational context, permissions and connected planning data. It can turn O8 data into repeatable reporting outputs without pushing users back into disconnected spreadsheets. The same tool can also be deployed as a standalone add-on connected to another database, giving businesses a flexible route to governed self-service reporting even outside a full O8 deployment.

The launch extends O8’s modular product approach. O8 Organic Planner supports executable supply planning decisions, O8 Forecast Intelligence strengthens forward demand planning, and O8 Self Serve helps users access, analyse and distribute the information needed to run the business. Together, the tools bring planning, reporting and decision support closer to the people who understand the work.

The O8 Self Serve product page is now available on the O8 website, including screenshots of the dashboard view, data extract builder, calculated field editor and dictated extract creation.
