O8 Software Introduces O8 Forecast Intelligence for AI/ML Demand Signals

O8 Software has introduced O8 Forecast Intelligence, a new AI/ML forecasting module designed to help businesses understand future demand, model changing market conditions and move forecasts through collaborative review and approval.

O8 Forecast Intelligence provides a forward-looking demand signal for areas such as commercial planning, promotions, product launches, customer changes, capacity discussions and inventory strategy. It can connect to existing planning environments or work as part of the O8 platform, giving customers a flexible route to AI/ML forecasting, consensus review and sign-off without a full system replacement.

The module has been designed to complement O8 Organic Planner rather than replace operational supply planning judgement. O8 Forecast Intelligence helps the business understand what may be coming, while O8 Organic Planner evaluates current demand, inventory, open orders, lead times, supplier behaviour, constraints, costs and service risk to create executable ordering decisions.

This distinction is central to the O8 approach: forecast when useful, order from reality. Forecasting can be extremely valuable when demand is shifting, promotions are planned, new products are launching or market conditions are changing, but the forecast should remain an input rather than the final answer for ordering.
